Justice and Power
Expand your understanding.
At Beloit, political science students bring their unique experiences to classes ranging from classical justice, women and politics in Africa, and environmental politics to race and ethnicity in America, comparative health policy, and human rights. In any given class, you may find yourself taking part in a U.N. simulation, writing a policy brief, or running a shadow campaign for a congressional candidate.
Explore the world.
Political science students often embrace our study abroad programs, with recent students spending semesters in Washington, D.C., Amsterdam, etc. Many of our students go on to win prestigious Fulbright Scholarships to continue this work after graduation.
Bridge the gaps.
Students often combine a political science major with one of Beloit’s many interdisciplinary programs. Our faculty teach courses in political science and international relations, but also in programs like critical identity studies, environmental studies, health and society, Latin American and Caribbean studies, and law and justice, to name a few.
